whats on my mind?

So today will be week three of a bible study i started with some bros. It has been awesome. I have been reading, studying and thinking a lot about things. Also thrown in there is Music, cause that helps the thoughts flow. In our first week we studied about fellowship and laid it down pretty good on the aspects and things involved in true fellowship. Since then things have really been flowing through my brain.

First: What are the aspects of us as believers in Christ? Who are we as Christians (the true meaning)?, how should we live?, what do we believe?, and also what are some things that i believe are twisted or gravely misunderstood.
So we accept Christ died for our sins, he rose again, and reigns in heaven for all eternity. You are a believer so you pray, as for forgiveness from sin, read, try to implement the aspects of the holy spirit in your life. You work hard to follow the ten commandments (minus the Thou Shalt not business cause im sorry but that is a translation error.) We believe Christ is our lord and savior, we read the word, try and understand with our feble human minds what the our God is teaching us.
What is the bible? How do we read it? Why as Christians do we debate so heavily on the aspects of the bible. The bible is the substance of a believer, we read to understand God and know what he is telling us. For me Read it as his word and his instruction for me (don't read into it, its written just take it as that.) Too often have people read too far into the bible and caused what i like to call the massacre of Christ's Church. Christianity has become political and we need to get rid of it. We have lost sight of things, Like america caught up in the Republican v. Democrat garbage and lost sight of the ideals of this country so have Christians become caught up in religious politics Calvinists v. Arminianists v. Catholics v. fill in the blank and lost sight of Christ. Politics have no business in Christ's Church. We as the "church" need to get back to the basics and we need RE-FOCUS!

Second: The Great Commission, As a Christian what does the great commission mean to you? Where does it fit into your life?
The great commission means take the word of Christ to all the world. so how does that fit into ones life? Well is following God's calling of us to take the word of Christ to all the world something we save money so we can go on the next mission trip to where ever it is? Or go to school to become a pastor or missionary? Those are all great things to do and do often. But i believe it is so much more than that. Pastor Eric Mason of Epiphany Fellowship says it this way, "The Christian, by identity, is a missionary. We don’t just do missions. That’s the most important thing we have to understand. Missions is not a trip you go on. Mission is who you are. And that call of God for His people to go into the world, based on the Great Commission, is His call and His command to mission.” So every day we should try to do something that could be the Great Commission (i.e. show Christs love to someone, share your faith, etc).
